A conscious start
The concept of CL Baby and Kids was born in 2015 to combat the fast fashion mentality of buying and throwing away. Fast fashion is the act of purchasing clothing items, disposing of said items, and quickly replacing the pieces. Fast fashion has serious ramifications for the environment. The textile industry is the second most contaminating industry in the world. 80,000 million articles of clothing are sold each year world wide. Producing these items generates run off that is responsible for 20% of the Earth’s water pollution. For this reason we produce handmade baby clothes in order to close the loop.
